Megan Haskell’s debut novel, Sanyare: The Last Descendant, (click here to check it out on Amazon UK) is the first of a series–or at least a trilogy–and was published in February 2015. She describes her book as a “fast-paced modern faerie tale with epic themes and a new adult tone.”

Review of “Sanyare”
Megan Haskell keeps things moving along, balancing combat scenes with romantic tension and humorous interludes. Despite the number of characters and other-worldly creatures she presents, the reader is never confused or overwhelmed with endless descriptions. I found myself pleasantly entertained.
Fantasy is one of those hit and miss genre’s for me. Unless credibly written, I’ll probably flick over to some other book in my e-reader. Haskell presents a believable female protagonist who’s gutsy, not brash, and can stand next to her wildly attractive male companions as an equal, without relentlessly having to prove herself for proving-herself’s sake. There’s definitely epic potential for this story, and I can see myself happily reading its sequels when they come out!
